DVC6200 double-acting with feedback is also a HART communication instrument, which is used to convert the two-wire 4-20mA control signal into a pneumatic output to provide to the actuator. It can also be retrofitted to replace existing analog positioners on most FISHER or non-FISHER pneumatic actuators.

The DVC6200 series is a modular structure with a small number of parts and can be quickly replaced. It has an independent isolated junction box (Figure 5), a solid housing (with valve position measurement slots and Hall sensors), and a plastic-encapsulated electronic module (on-board). The DVC6200 digital valve controller offers a large combination of advanced valve diagnostic functions. Whether it's the Model 475 Field Communicator for checking valve alarms and operating status, or ValveLink software for performing comprehensive diagnostic tests and analysis, users can quickly get started. When installed as part of a HART communication system, the DVC6200 digital valve controller can instantly report existing or potential equipment problems. During valve process control, performance diagnostics can be used to monitor the condition and performance of the entire valve assembly (not limited to digital valve controllers). During performance diagnostic tests, the valve does not deviate from the normal setpoint change range set by the process controller. The DVC6200 Digital Valve Controller utilizes statistical algorithms to determine conditions and performance-related issues based on actual readings from sensors on many devices. The results are then displayed graphically, along with a red/yellow/green indicator for severity. In addition, the identified issues and recommended actions are described in detail. Performance diagnostics also facilitate full-travel dynamic testing of valve assemblies, including valve characteristic curves, dynamic error bands, step response, and stroke checks. These tests can be performed while the valve assembly is separated from the process and can change the instrument set point at a specific rate.
