VFM 1091G vortex flowmeter measures the volume flow, volume flow or mass flow of gas, steam or liquid according to the Karman vortex principle.
 
This product series has two types of explosion-proof type and non-explosion-proof type. Among them, explosion-proof products have been inspected and approved by the National Explosion-Proof Safety Supervision and Inspection Station (NEPSI), and meet the requirements of national standards GB3836.1-2000 and GB3836.4-2000. The explosion-proof mark is Exib Ⅱ CT2-T6, and the products are available in the corresponding explosive hazardous area.

Measurement principle:
 
Vortex flowmeters are used to measure the flow rates of gases, vapors and liquids in pipes. The measuring principle is based on the Karman vortex street. The measuring tube contains a generator behind which a vortex is created. The frequency f of the vortex street is proportional to the flow velocity v. The dimensionless Strouhal coefficient S describes the relationship between the frequency f(Hz) of the vortex street, the width b of the vortex street and the average velocity V(m/s):
f=S*v/b

f: Vortex frequency
v: average flow velocity
S: Strouhal coefficient
b: width of vortex generating body
The sensor detects the frequency f and sends it to the signal converter for calculation, and the flow rate of the medium in the pipeline can be measured.
