Installation conditions of vortex flowmeter
Vortex flowmeters are installed on horizontal, vertical and inclined (liquid flowing from bottom to top) pipes of the same diameter. The upstream and downstream 2 sections of the sensor should be provided with straight pipes of a certain length, to meet the requirements of the first 15-20d and the rear 20 from the No. 5 straight pipe to the No. 1 straight pipe.
Vortex flowmeters should not be installed on pipelines with large mechanical vibrations.
The inner diameter of the straight tube should be as consistent as possible with the sensor diameter. If not, a pipe with a diameter slightly larger than the sensor diameter should be used with an error of less than 3% and no more than 5mm.
The vortex flowmeter should not be installed under the interference of strong electromagnetic field, it occupies a small area and is easy to maintain.
Vortex flowmeter
1. Select the installation location and environment of the vortex flowmeter.
Avoid using high-power equipment, high-frequency equipment and high-power switches, avoid the influence of high temperature heat sources and radiation sources, avoid strong vibration and harsh corrosive environments, and consider easy installation and maintenance.
2. There are enough straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the vortex flowmeter.
If there are two 90-degree elbows on the same plane upstream of the installation point of the vortex flowmeter, the upstream straight pipe section is greater than 25d, and the downstream straight pipe section is greater than 5d.
If there are two different 90° elbows upstream of the installation point of the vortex flowmeter, the upstream straight pipe section is greater than or equal to 40d, and the downstream straight pipe section is greater than or equal to 5d, the control valve is installed outside the 5D downstream of the sensor. If it is installed upstream of the sensor, the straight pipe upstream of the sensor shall not be less than 50d, and the straight pipe downstream of the sensor shall not be less than 5d.
3. The upstream and downstream pipelines are installed with concentric point sensors, and the coaxiality deviation is not less than 0.5DN.
4. The vortex flowmeter takes measures to reduce pipeline vibration.
The sensor of the vortex flowmeter shall not be installed on the pipeline with strong vibration, especially the lateral vibration. If installation is unavoidable, take measures to reduce vibration. Pipe fastening devices and anti-vibration pads are provided upstream and downstream of the sensor.
5. Horizontal pipe installation is a common installation method for vortex flowmeters.
If the gas flow meter contains a small amount of liquid, install a sensor on top of the pipe.
When measuring liquid flow, if the liquid contains a small amount of gas, install a sensor at the bottom of the pipe.
6. Install the sensor on the vertical pipe.
When measuring gas flow, the vortex flowmeter can be installed on a line perpendicular to the infinite flow direction. If the measurement gas contains a small amount of liquid, the flow direction of the gas is bottom-up.
When measuring fluid flow, the direction of fluid flow is bottom-up: this does not add weight to the probe.
7. The vortex flowmeter is installed on the side of the horizontal pipe.
No matter what kind of liquid is measured, the sensor can be installed on the side of the horizontal pipe, especially suitable for the measurement of superheated steam, saturated steam and low temperature liquid. If possible, use side mounting so that the liquid temperature has little effect on the amplifier.
8. Install the sensor in reverse in the horizontal pipe.
Generally, this installation method is not recommended for vortex flowmeters. This installation method is not suitable for measuring general gas and superheated steam. It can be used to measure saturated steam. Suitable for measuring high temperature liquids or pipe cleaning.
