Yokogawa differential pressure transmitter installation location and method
The general measurement accuracy is largely dependent on the correct installation of the transmitter and process piping. Differential pressure transmitter and measurement should be shielded from harsh environments as much as possible; such as: large temperature changes, vibration and shock. If the above is unavoidable due to site conditions, structure, measurement requirements or other reasons, this will affect the measurement accuracy!
Selection of pressure point in process flow
When measuring the steam medium, the pressure taking point of the process flow should be selected on the side of the process flow pipeline, and the pressure guiding line should be filled with liquid;
When measuring gaseous medium, the pressure taking point of the process flow should be selected on the top surface of the process flow pipeline, and no liquid should enter the pressure guiding pipeline;
When measuring liquid medium, the pressure point of the process flow should be selected at the bottom of the process flow line, and no gas or dirt should enter the pressure guide line;
When measuring the liquid level, the low pressure point is lower than the zero point of the liquid level measurement, and the high pressure point must be higher than the maximum liquid level, and no liquid should enter the negative pressure pipeline.
Differential pressure transmitters can be wall mounted or pipe mounted with mounting brackets, which can be purchased as accessories. The differential pressure transmitter must be placed on the transmitter flange and installed vertically to avoid zero drift caused by residual vapor and dirt remaining in the transmitter measurement chamber! It is very necessary to ensure zero point stability. The relative position of the differential pressure transmitter and the pressure point of the process flow varies with the type of measurement. Generally, the transmitter is located at the pressure point of the process flow when the medium is measured for steam and liquid, and the transmitter is higher than the pressure point of the process when the medium is measured. When measuring point and liquid level, the transmitter should be as close to the low pressure point as possible.
