  Selection and installation requirements of ENGIWELL vortex flowmeter

ENGIWELL Vortex flowmeters are mostly used to measure steam flow, and can also be used to measure liquids such as water, air, oxygen and other gases. It is a flowmeter that is widely used, including industrial production process, energy flow, environmental protection engineering, transportation, etc.
 
 
 
Whether the vortex flowmeter is selected correctly or not will directly affect the normal operation of the instrument. Therefore, designers and users should do the following work to ensure the rationality and correctness of the selection.
 
 
 
1. Define the purpose of the instrument, generally used for flow control;
 
 
 
2. Determine the specific installation position on the pipeline and find out the environmental factors that may affect the normal operation of the instrument;
 
3. Carefully check the process parameters of the measured fluid, such as pressure, temperature, viscosity, flow range, etc.
 
 
 
Pipeline installation design of vortex flowmeter.
 
 
 
1. The vortex flowmeter can be installed indoors or outdoors. If installed in an underground well and there is a risk of submersion, the submersible type should be selected.
 
 
 
2. The vortex flowmeter can be installed on the pipeline horizontally, vertically or inclined. When measuring liquid, the pipeline needs to be filled with liquid, so the vortex flowmeter should be installed on a vertical or inclined pipeline, and the flow direction of the liquid should be from bottom to top.
 
 
 
3. There should be long straight pipes on the upstream and downstream sides of the vortex flowmeter. The required length of the upstream and downstream straight pipes varies with different pipeline conditions.
 
 
 
4. The inner diameter of the pipeline where the vortex flowmeter is installed needs to be the same as the inner diameter of the flowmeter, otherwise the pipeline needs to be reduced.
 
 
 
5. During the installation and design of the vortex flowmeter pipeline, a space of 500mm should be reserved at the upper end of the signal processing converter for debugging and maintenance.
